Newport School currently has opportunities to join our teaching team in September 2013.

‘Newport School is a happy, cohesive school where we look to provide all our students with outstanding learning. Levels of confidence are high among our school community and with outstanding systems and procedures in place the school is able to provide every student with the best opportunity to learn’.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Class Teacher (KS2) and Newly Qualified Teachers (KS1/KS2).

We are pleased that from the 30th June 2012 parents and carers will be able to buy your school uniform online, courtesy of the retailer Marks and Spencer.

You will be able to find the full range of our school’s uniform including embroidered products, and plain trousers, skirts, shirts, and more in our school’s approved colours.

More information can be found on our uniform page on the main school site. There is a detailed information leaflet that you can view, print or download on the page too.

Every purchase you make contributes a small amount to our funds too. We hope you enjoy using our new online facility.

On the 1st June, 2012 we will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Newport School. All children and staff are invited to dress up in their best garden party attire.

Children will be learning about the Queen’s reign and the history of the royal family. You can read more about the Jubilee celebrations and events here…

Don’t forget that the local elections will take place in England on 3rd May 2012.

Our School and Nursery will be closed except for use as a polling station on that day.

Updated with detail yesterday  - our vacancy page can tell you about our latest teaching vacancies at Newport School.

We have advertised for a teacher to lead on mathematics, a EYFS teacher and also a post for someone with Newly Qualified Teacher status.

There is an information pack for each post to download, an application form in MsWord, as well as links to our application guidance information and the school’s current published policies. (Links to free software to read Microsoft and Adobe pdf files are also available).

The closing date for applications is  Friday, 11th May 2012.

Our football team at Newport were runners-up in the recent finals.
