Charlie's Homework

Published: Friday 23rd January 2009 Comment here

Hello Newport School

Charlie has been thinking about how to find out how long different objects are.

So he decided, using his feet, to measure the cupboard

he sits on.

He says ‘Can you measure different members of your family using your feet?’

You need to ask your family member to lie on the floor and starting at one end put one foot in front of the other to see how many of your feet tall they are.

Have you seen the minibeasts that

decorate our front ramp?

These were designed and created by our current

Year 2 pupils in the art project they worked on last summer.

The children’s work was sent to a foundry to be cast

in iron. The results have been mounted and look fantastic.

Well done to all our creative year

2 children who took part in the project.

Steve is working with Year 5 classes using multimedia approaches to develop writing skills.

Zuky is working with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes developing practical problem solving activities to enrich the curriculum.

After half term he will be moving on to work with classes

in Year 3 and 4.
